Samuel George Nagher of Redford, Michigan was born January 21, 1918 and passed away July 13, 2020 at the age of 102. he is survived by his wife of 74 wonderful years Dolores Nagher, Children; Susan Niferrera, Samuel Nagher Jr. and daughter-in-law Ruthanne, Grandchildren; Fredy, Nicholas, Michael, Samuel III and Nichole, Great Grandchildren; Leena, Solara and Zoey. He is preceded in death by his late son Fred Nagher.

Sam lived a long beautiful life, he was such a generous and loving person who was automatically everyone's friend, everyone loved him and he loved them back. He was a long time member of St. George Orthodox Church in Troy and him and Dolores also sang in the choir for 60 years. In his free time he enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Him and Dolores made many memories line dancing, ice skating and roller-skating. Sam loved life and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday July 18th at 11am (in state 10-11am) at St. George Orthodox Church in Troy. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery following the service. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.HarryjWillRedford.com for the Nagher family.

Dear Aunt Dolores and family, I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Sam’s passing. I know you have so many wonderful memories to carry you through this difficult time. He was always so loving and kind! What a wonderful, loving man. I began singing in the St. George choir when I was 14 years old, 64 years ago. Sam and Dolores were rock stars in that choir, along with a few others. Sam kept those around him grounded and full of smiles. Even though I didn't see Sam very often, he will be sorely missed.

Sam knew me all of my life. He knew my wife Marie for the last 30 years. Sam is one of the most beloved persons that we have ever known. He will always be in our fondest memories.
