Susan Jane Brown, 72 of Exeter Township, passed away Tuesday March 23, 2021 in Tower Health Reading Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, James R. Brown. Susan was born in Reading on March 15, 1949 a daughter of the late Jack W. Sr., and Blanche M. (Berns) Evans.
Susan was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi and she joined the Order of Eastern Star while she was in High School where she was a member for 50 years. She was a 1967 Mt. Penn High School graduate and was employed Bell of Pa., now Verizon, in customer service for 31 years retiring in 1999. Susan volunteered with Senior Citizen's Center and enjoyed being involved with the travel club and escorted senior trips. She was also a volunteer at Health South and Breast Cancer Support Service.
Also surviving is her daughter, Brandi Sherman-Greene, sons, Michael and his wife Becki Ramsay, Christopher and his wife Linda Brown, brother, Jack W. Evans, Jr., 3 grandchildren; Cassidy Hrabina, and twins, Drake and Jordan Brown. Susan was predeceased by her 2 sisters; Marti Regenhardt and Barbara Hershey.
Services will be Wednesday March 31, 2021 at 1pm in Auman's Inc Funeral Home, 390 W Neversink Rd., Reiffton. Burial to follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park. A gathering of relatives and friends will be Wednesday 12-1pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breast Cancer Support Services, 529 Reading Ave., Suite C.
