

Linda Benet Coyner passed away on August 1, 2019 in her home at the age of 57. Linda was a travel cheerleader for the University of Virginia, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics. She spent over thirty years working in the health insurance industry for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Rutherford, and SIMA Financial Group as an underwriter and benefits consultant.
She enjoyed cross-stitching, Hallmark Christmas movies, iced tea, Bruce Springsteen, and her cats, Rosie and Pebbles. One of her favorite titles was “Mama Coyner,” a name given to her by her daughters’ many friends over the years.
Linda is survived by her parents, Richard and Augusta Benet; her sisters, Helen, Laura, Mary, and Dayna; her brother, Richard; her daughter and son-in-law, Taylor and Stephen; her daughter Morgan; her granddaughter, Peyton; her life-long best friend, Lori Scovil; and a myriad of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 11 am at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Chesterfield, VA. A light reception will follow.
