Caseville Cottage Fun in the Sun - we agree with John Lamerato's memories of life with Tom and his beloved Caseville Cottage rituals!! 

My Grandpa was a true German, in every sense of the word.  Many of his traits live on in his children and grandchildren.  Some of our favorite summer memories as kids took place at his cottage in Caseville.  Vivid memories that stand out include: long days on the beach, gathering driftwood for  bonfires, watching the adults play horseshoes,  walks to Slavan's Point and the Red Store, showers in the lake, Saturday night mass at St. Roch's, and nightly happy hour.  Grandpa was the master of happy hour and perfected the art.  Music, drinks, incense, cheese and crackers;  it was a ritual.  He loved to host with my grandma and Christmas day celebrations at their house created countless memories.  He also was a great storyteller, even if there was a quite a wait to get to the conclusion of the story.   He was always well-kept, tough, and did things his way.  He will be missed be all.     

Memories of Uncle Tom.

Fondest are swimming in your pool when I was a youngster. Hanging with my cousin's. Playing bumper pool. Playing in your basement. Watching your Cool aqauriam. Hotdogs and Burgers. And Grandma's potatoe salad. You were in my eyes. The Cool Guy.
