Christoffer "Chris" Blake Paulsen

Christoffer was born to Cynthia Paulsen and Jeffery Paulsen on September 13, 1981, in Sarasota, FL. He attend elementary school, middle school, and his freshman year of high school in Sarasota. Christoffer graduated from Olympic Heights High School in Boca Raton, FL, in 2000.

Christoffer was blessed with a very exceptional intellect and was in gifted educational programs from the second grade through high school. In addition, he began playing violin at age 12 in his school’s orchestra and was a member of the schools soccer and volleyball teams. In high school, Christoffer was a 4 year letterman in soccer, as well as a letterman in volleyball.

In the fall of 2000, Christoffer began his college studies at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, as a first semester junior majoring in International Business and German. In addition to his studies at FAU, Christoffer was the starting goalkeeper for FAU’s Men’s Soccer Team, before leaving to play professional soccer in Europe.

Upon his return from Europe, Christoffer attended the University of Florida for two years, before giving soccer another try, playing for Real Madrid’s developmental team in Madrid, Spain.

Christoffer was very intellectually inquisitive, a gifted writer, athlete, musician, and artist, while also possessing a dry sense of humor. He was very sensitive, and tried to hide this behind a tough exterior.

For the past 5 years, Christoffer fought a very tough battle with alcoholism. He faced this challenge with courage and determination, but eventually succumbed to this horrible disease. A life so full of promise and hope, that was tragically cut short.

Christoffer is preceded in death by his loving grandparents; Leonard and Patricia Paulsen, and William Pierce.

His memory will be cherished by his parents, Jeff and Cindy, his brother, Jason Paulsen, his grandmother, Joy Pierce, uncle William Paulsen (Pamela), aunt Lee Paulsen (Sheryl), uncle James Pierce (Jan), his cousins, and many extended family members and friends.

The Paulsen family will receive friends on May 13, 2022, from 3:30PM until 5:00PM at Roswell Funeral Home. Services will be held in Roswell’s Chapel.
