Xanthippe was born on September 2, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter to the late Tom and Kiriakoula Economos.
Xanthippe was very involved in her church and her community. She was a long-time member of Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. She loved serving her church and the Greek community. She was a wonderful cook, and would share these talents with the Greek Festival each year. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and loved their adventures throughout Atlanta. Xanthippe loved to be involved in her local community and was regularly attending neighborhood social gatherings. She truly lived life to the fullest.
Along with her parents, Xanthippe is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew and her son, Michael.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan; her three grandchildren, Melisa Marsh (Alex), Mathew Marsico (Colleen); Amanda Kelly (Luke); and great grandchildren, Carter and Logan.
A funeral service for Mrs. Xanthippe Economos Marsico will be held at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
All are invited to attend. Please note that temperatures will be taken and masks will be required.
A private Burial will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell following the funeral.
