

C. Allen Willmar age 90, was reunited in heaven July 21, 2016 with his beloved wife Jean (Eugenia Mania) who preceded him. They were married for 64 years. He was born in Saginaw MI April 14, 1926 to Allen Clarence Willmar and Julia (Skully). He served in the South Pacific in WWII in the Navy aboard the USS Baltimore. After the war; he received his commission and served in the Naval Reserve for 20 years also serving as the Commanding Officer of the Reserve Center in Saginaw and achieving the rank of Lieutenant. Allen was a graduate of Ferris State University where he earned his B.S. in Business in 1949. Upon graduation he joined the Professional Management Group as a Health Care Business Consultant where he later became President of the Saginaw office. Allen was a member of St. Helen's Parish in Saginaw, and served for many years as the Boy Scout Master of St. Helen's Troop 342. He resided in Saginaw and retired in Grayling MI where he loved fly fishing, reading his naval novels and working on his model ships all of his life. 2014 he moved to West Palm Beach where Allen fought a valiant battle with Cancer under the care of his daughter Pamela Willmar, RN, and Dr. Henry Shapiro. Beloved Husband, Father, Grand-Father, and Great-Grand-Father and Great-Great Grand Father spent his last hours surrounded by his family. He is survived by his Sister Sandi Weiland and husband Robert, a niece and several nephews. He is survived by five children: Richard A. and Carol Willmar of Trinity, FL. Ronald and Nancy Willmar of Harrison, MI. Cheryl L. and husband James Williams of Baton Rouge, LA. Pamela and husband William Volmary of West Palm Beach, FL. Barbara A. and husband John Watkins of Roscommon, MI. Allen had 10 grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grand-daughters. Allen was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Bledsoe. Allen’s family would like to express appreciation of the wonderful care he received at St. Joseph-South and Palm Garden Rehabilitation Center. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society of Saginaw County in honor of where he adopted his beagle “Chevy”. Services will be held at held at Bay Pines National Veteran’s Cemetery with military honor, 1000 Bay Pines Blvd. North, St. Petersburg, FL 33708 on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10 am.
