Normand Lavoie, born in Fall River Massachusetts on September 8, 1930 passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Ruskin Florida; beloved husband of the late Mary Cortez Lavoie; loving father of Raymond Lavoie, Rene Lavoie (Michael McKeown) Lavoie and the late David (Kathy) Lavoie; cherished grandfather of Eric Lavoie, David Lavoie Jr., Stacey Lavoie, Nicole Texeria, Crystal Lavoie and the late Anthony Lavoie; great-grandfather of eight great grandchildren; brother of Robert (Lorraine) Lavoie and Claire (Ralph) Vittorio. Normand and Mary were married on November 10, 1949 and spent the next fifty years building a life together and raising their family. Normand was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft, Bridgeport, CT for 25 years and in 1979 he and Mary moved to California, where he worked on various construction projects as well as a messenger for an escrow company.
