
Priscilla “Pat” Magnan, age 88, formerly of Newington, CT, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, April 17, 2016 in Wimauma, Florida. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis H. Magnan. A loving Mother and Nana to her family, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her devoted daughter Donna Savoia and her husband Peter of Wimauma, Florida, daughter Gail Stanley and her husband Robert of St. Petersburg, Florida; and son Roy Magnan of Southington, CT. She was treasured Nana of three grandchildren, Kolton Magnan and his mother Beth Johnston of Newington, CT, Brett Stanley of San Diego, CA, Britney Stegbauer and her husband Keith of Seminole, Florida. Priscilla also leaves behind her two beautiful great grand-daughters Kylie and Mackenzie Stegbauer; her loving niece Sonja Valentine of Peabody, MA; several other nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Priscilla is predeceased by her twin sister Patricia Stoll of Louisville KY, her sisters Alice Valentine of Woburn, MA, Stella Butcher of Methuen, MA and Helen Anderson of Woburn, MA; brothers Charles Nicholson of North Eastham, MA, Donald Nicholson of Woburn, MA, and Roy Nicholson who was killed during World War II. Born in Woburn, MA, Pat married and moved to Hartford, CT to raise her family in 1957. She was employed by and retired from Stop & Shop after 20 years of service. After retirement, she settled in Newington, CT where she made her home for the past 25 years. She was an active member and volunteer of the Newington Senior and Disabled Center where she enjoyed playing bingo, socializing and having lunch with her many friends. It gave her great joy to bake goodies for her friends at Market Square Apartments and enjoyed volunteering whenever help was needed. She loved decorating the community room during the holidays for all residents to enjoy. As an avid Red Sox fan, Pat could be found in front of the television during baseball season cheering on her beloved team. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends.
