Br. Harold A. Teel S.J.

Br. Harold A. Teel, S.J., baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection, was called to eternal life on Tuesday February 5, 2019, at Fusz Pavillon in St. Louis, MO., He was 91 years old, a Jesuit for 68 years.

Born in Indianola, Nebraska on August 7, 1927. He served in parishes and schools in the U.S. and for many years in Belize and Yoro, Honduras. He entered the Society of Jesus, in 1950 and made his final vows in 1961. Before entering the Society he served in the Merchant Marine from 1945-47

He is preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Oscar Teel, his brothers Lawrence A. Teel, Robert E.Teel, Raymond C. Teel and Matthew Teel, sisters Mary Alice Teel, Cecilia McConville and Gertrude Wagner. He is survived by his sister Clarissa C. Uerling and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday February 11, 2019 6:00 P.M. with Mass of Christian burial at 7:15 P.M., at the Chapel in Jesuit Hall 3601 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO. Interment Tuesday February 12th in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Jesuits of the Central and Southern Province 4511 West Pine Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108.
