Donna M Petersen

Donna Marie Petersen 86, died Monday, Oct 22, 2018, at the Sunridge Assisted Living in West Jordan, Utah, formally of Sandy Utah.

She was born July 14, 1932 in Idaho to Maud Louise Kenyon. She married Max Petersen in December of 1967. They celebrated their 50th anniversary last December.

Donna worked as a waitress in her early years. She then spent many years working for Home companion services as a respite provider for individuals with severe disabilities. She formed many bonds with the families that she cared for.

She enjoyed reading books along with many hobbies (painting, bowling, bingo and playing the harmonica). Donna will be remembered for always putting others first and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She always made time to bake cookies with her son Kiel and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children Venus Miller and Brian Petersen, Son in Law Kirk Douglas

She is survived by her Husband Max J Petersen, children Chirelle Yarbro (Scott), Sandra Houston, Charla Douglas, Leeland Petersen (Tammy), Brent Petersen and Kiel Petersen and Brother Gary Cochran (Lee).

She was a Grandmother to Debbie Baker (Jim), Adrian Douglas (Cindy) Charice Holloway, Marcelle Remkes Bush (Matt), Glen and George Houston, Shannon Davis (Colton), Tiffany Montgomery (Keith), Aly and Cole Petersen, Katrina, Robert and Gregory Yarbro and 19 great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 3rd from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the LDS Church located at 7255 South 2200 West, West Jordan, Utah.

In lieu of flowers or memorial the family wishes for everyone to remember Donna by spending time with their precious families, and would like to give many thanks to the AFI hospice and the staff at Sunridge Assisted Living for the care they provided for Donna.
