AVIS DE DÉCÈS
Thomas G. Mitchell
28 octobre , 1943 – 27 novembre , 2019
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, Thomas George Mitchell, passed away November 27, 2019 due to cardio respiratory failure. Tom was born October 28, 1943 to George & Selma Mitchell in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the 2nd of 4 children. He attended Onequa Elementary, Jackson Jr. High, and graduated from West High School Class of 62. He married his high school sweetheart, Rae Kellogg in 1963. They have been inseparable from that day forward. Together they raised 2 children and enjoyed 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Tom started working at age 12, delivering newspapers to the Marmalade District. At age 13 he began working for Orson & Penny Beeny at the Poor Boy Cafe were he washed bakery pans and later became a fry cook. At 19, Tom followed in his fathers footsteps and joined the print industry starting with Rocky Mountain Bank Note and retiring 47 years later from IC Group. The friendships he gained from this time of life will never be forgotten.
He had a special love for the outdoors. Tom enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing and patio parties with all his family and friends. If he could be outside, he would. He liked to sit outside with coffee in hand watching the birds and singing a tune. There was never a dull moment when we were all together. He always had a joke in mind and never failed to make you laugh. He looked forward to Wednesday Beer Night with his buddies Brian, Andrew and Jerry, despite not being able to drink. He also was a clean freak. He had the cleanest garage, vehicles and yard. You always knew if you ever used something of his, you better return it to the exact spot and make sure it was clean.
Tom was a good friend to all that knew him.
We are so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends. Thank you all for loving us and taking good care of us.

Tom was such a joy to be around. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to know and work with him. I especially remember how helpful, kind and funny he was, and always looked forward to walking into his office, or seeing him at the dinner get togethers. His presence will surely be missed, and the memories will last a lifetime.
My sincerest condolences to the family.
Please know that my thoughts are with you.
