Jesse Bustos

A Loving Father, Grandpa, and Brother, was called home to be with the lord on March 4, 2015 at the age of 85. He was a member of St. John Berchmans’ Catholic Church for many years and retired from Kelly Air Force Base after 30 years of service. He was known as “Blue Boy,” nicknamed by his mother, and Kono, as many others would call him. He was also a very talented musician who began playing musical instruments at the age of 7. They included: Clarinet, Flute, Piano, and Saxaphone (Tenor, and Alto). Music was his world. He was also a composer, wrote many of his own songs and taught piano lessons, even if you did not want to learn. He played in the community band and, The Basilica of Little Flower, and St. Paul Catholic Church. He even gained the opportunity to perform in concert with Z Z Top and Guy Lombardo Bands. Family will remember that he was a singer, a jokester, his favorite color was blue, and that he was the best grandpa ever. Words cannot describe how deeply he will be missed. His music legacy will live forever.He is preceded in death by his lovely wife of 43 years, Eva Guadalupe Bustos; Daughter: Diane B. Aguilar, and Son: David L. Bustos. He leaves to cherish 4 children: Jesse Anthony (Joshua Garcia) Bustos, Edward Bustos, Sonia (Jose) Garcia, and Alma (Gustavo) Salinas, and Sylvia Bustos; 2 Sisters: Mary Louise and Julia Morena; 7 Grandchildren: Mayan, Gabriella, Jessica Marie, Gustavo Jr., Natasha Nicole, David Jr.(Carmen) Bustos, Eddie, Ava (Adam) Petrosa; 9 Great Grandchildren: Jaina, Jacen, Christopher Michael, Nicolas Robert, Aralyn, Sebastian Jr., Abella Madilyn, Amiyah Carmen, and Adam Petrosa; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 10:30 AM for a 11:00 AM Mass to be celebrated at St. John Berchmans’ Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III.
