Gloria Jean Mendoza was a Southern California native and a cherished daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was born and raised in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, California . Throughout the years Gloria Jean and her family enjoyed adventures in the outdoors with summer vacations to Sequoia National Park and Lake Isabella and spent long weekends in Big Bear for some local fun. Along the way there were stories of encounters with wildlife, both human and natural. Most of all she enjoyed the company of family and friends at gatherings at her home, which was always the central hub for family activities . Throughout this past year, Gloria Jean took solace following the passing of her mother Gloria by embracing life. Holiday celebrations , graduation parties, baby showers , and birthday parties were the norm for her. Most recently Gloria Jean celebrated her son Ceasar’s 50th birthday party in October in a festive Día de los Muertos theme. Following this celebration , Gloria Jean’s health caused some concern and she began to slow down following a cancer diagnosis in late November . Gloria Jean lived a life full of love and her family loved her deeply. We will miss her vibrant smile, which greeted those who crossed her path. She passed much too young at the age of 67 on January 31, 2020. Gloria Jean is survived by her three children, Ceasar, Cindy, and Jamie. She is now reunited with her son JimmyBoy in heaven. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and her fur babies Coco and Luna. So every time you have your morning coffee and your favorite pastry think of Gloria Jean and her smile.
