Eva Ann McClanahan

Eva Ann Wheeler(Bowser) age 83, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 17, 2019. Eva loved her family dearly, she was best known for her kindness and Christian values. She will be greatly missed.

Eva was born March 29, in Gridley, California, where she helped on family farm picking prunes and walnuts. She was the daughter of James P. Wheeler and May E. Adams (Wheeler). Eva enjoyed being a

4-H member where she learned to sew, cook and raise livestock. Eva graduated from Gridley Union High School in 1953, that same year she met the love of her life Kenneth R. Bowser at a skating rink in Yuba City, California. They married on December 23, 1953. When Kenneth was discharged from the Army, they moved to his home state of Indiana. After a few cold winters, Eva and Ken decided to move their family back to California, where Eva was a Dinner Cook at the Harbor Restaurant in Fort Bragg. They would later move their family to Sonoma County. Eva also worked as a switch board operator, drove a school bus and was a Walmart Greeter in Rohnert Park, where she greeted everyone with a smile until she retired in 2001. Eva happily volunteered her time. She was a Campfire Leader, a Boy Scout Den Mother, a Girl Scout Troop Leader and a Sunday School Teacher. Eva said “ best of all jobs, being a Mom to my five Children.”

Eva was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.She was also a wonderful friend.

Eva was proceeded in death by her husband Kenneth R. Bowser; her parents James and May Wheeler; brother William A. Wheeler, James A. Wheeler; sister Vinetta (Nettie) M. Cameron.

Eva is survived by her five children Avlee Johnson, Konnie Morris, Kenneth A. Bowser, Susan Cochran and Steven Bowser; sister Helen Taylor and Dorothy Little; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

A Service to Celebrate her Life will be held March 30, 2019 at 11:30 AM
