

Naomi Gibbons, 62, of Minatare, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held 9:00 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2008, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Michael Stein officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in care of the family or to the donor’s choice. Naomi was born October 19, 1946, at Wagner, South Dakota to Frank and Elvira (Hatwan) Chytka. She graduated from high school at Bonesteel, South Dakota. On January 28, 1967, she married Gary Gibbons of Wauneta, Nebraska at Bonesteel, South Dakota. They lived at Burwell, Nebraska until moving to Minatare in 1974. She was most recently employed by the Nebraska State Patrol and had previous worked for Western Sugar, Kelley Bean, Scottsbluff County Assessor, and Fred A. Lockwood and Company. She enjoyed gardening with Gary and making jelly for the Farmer’s Market. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Gary Gibbons; sons, Lance (Lisa) Gibbons of Mitchell and Wade (Jeanette) Gibbons of Minatare; grandchildren, Zachary and Kale Gibbons; brother, Gene (Sue) Chytka of Burke, South Dakota; brother-in-law, Craig (Judy) Gibbons of Lexington; aunts, Vivian Rogge of Minatare and Iris Crowley of Florida. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Lisa Chytka; and infant son, Scott Gibbons.
