Maria "Coco" Delgadillo Belcher

Maria Delgadillo – Belcher, but to her family “Coco” passed peacefully with beauty and grace, early Friday morning on February 27th after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life here on Earth. Maria was born to Enrique and Serapia Delgadillo in Edcouch, Texas on December 9th. She spent her childhood years in Washington State and Mission, Texas. But, she has called Dallas her home since 1972. She was a loving stay at-home mother, as well as, a very involved volunteer at her children’s school and church activities. Maria received a Bachelors of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and attended graduate school at Texas A&M –Commerce. On December 16th 2014, after twenty years, she retired from Parkland Hospital as a Women’s Health Educator. Maria loved her family, traveling, hiking, gardening, tennis and education. Maria believed whole-heartedly that Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior. Most recently, she enjoyed attending church service / fellowship at New Life Fellowship Church in Dallas where she heard the Word of God spoken by Pastor Ray Vallance and Gordon Hudson (her Favorite Son-N-Law). Maria is dearly loved by her two children: her Handsome Son, Don Wayne Belcher and her Beautiful Daughter Donna Marie Hudson; her one granddaughter: her Precious Angel, Adrea Nicole Belcher. Also, “Coco” is survived by her mother, Serapia and her Beautiful sisters, HermeLinda, Herminia “Minnie”, Serapia & Irene, as well as, her Handsome brothers Enrique “Henry” & James “Jaime”. Additionally, “Coco” is an aunt that left treasured memories with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Enrique, her sister Margarita, her nephew Arturo Archie and her first-born son Daniel Lee “Danny.” A Home-going Celebration to honor Maria’s Life & Memory will be held on Monday, March 9th, 2015 beginning at 12 (noon) at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, Texas.,1000 S HIGHWAY 175,SEAGOVILLE, TX 75159.
