Marc Alfonso DeVora, age 57, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Marc was born April 24, 1965 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Alfonso and Dorothy Jill DeVora.
Marc had a very kind and gentle soul. He always took care of others before himself. Marc was also very funny, always telling jokes and making people laugh. He was also a great cook and party host. He loved to cook, and when he did, he made enough to feed a small army. Marc wore many hats, but his main trade was being a Musician. He was an amazing drummer and preferred to play with his eyes closed. He loved all kinds of music, went to countless concerts, and loved hanging with his UMF brothers. Marc's pride and joy were his kids and grandkids; his love for them will never fade.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Jill DeVora Bowman and husband Larry Bowman; sisters, Lisa Slade and Amy Belton; children, Anthony DeVora and wife Courtney Colvin DeVora, Lisa DeVora Loughner and husband Shane Loughner, and Megan DeVora; step daughter, Tobie Hendon and husband Charles; grandchildren, Keslie Jane Griffin and Milo Kane DeVora. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Marc will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108 with Rev. Lee Gill officiating.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at The Guest House and Gentiva Hospice Care for the excellent care and compassion given to Marc in his time of need.
