My beloved wife,  
A part of me passed away when you did. You will forever be in my heart and I will always cherish the memories of our life together. 


Jenny was an incredible person and a great friend. We would fall in and out of contact but would always pick up as if it was just the other day that we had spoke.  I know she loved her family so  much and I know everyone misses her. I loved her laugh and will miss her smile. 
I wish I had one more opportunity to enjoy both

Our sympathies and prayers are extended to her family.  We will continue to lift them in prayer asking God's comfort and blessing as they mourn the loss of a special loved ones.



Growing up, we were a group of 8 kids.  From aunt and uncles, cousins, and siblings, the span of age difference is 9 years.  Jenny and her twin David being the oldest to me being the youngest.   We spent time together during the summers at either My grandmothers house or our house,   I have so many memories of time spent playing hide and seek, late night horror movie marathons, shelling beans, 8 of us crammed in the back of a pick up truck traveling from GA to NY for a family reunion, and so much more.   When Jenny got married and started her family, I would spend time during the summer with her.   With each passing year the maturing bond of our relationship grew in love, encouragement and support.   

Some of my more cherished memories are those as of late.   The family gatherings at our home.   I loved Jenny coming over and spending the weekend with us several times each year.  Taking  the lead as head chef, hanging out, teaching little Hannah to cook.    She loved spending time with her family.   She loved her family unconditionally; so giving and caring.  She loved her children and grandchildren!

I am so incredibly sad at the loss of her here for now.   God’s promise is to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.   I know that l’ll see her again one day and that she is free from those burdens that weighed her down.  

We miss your laughter, your wit, your love, support... we will miss you, but never forget you!

My heart aches knowing that many more good memories with Jenny will not happen.  I'll miss her laugh, laughing with her, and her hugs.   She and I shared a love of music and food.  She was a great chef, I was the great eater.  She inspired me and shared some of her cooking methods.  And with all the great variety, all she had to say to me is "turnip greens" or "salsa" and I was all over it.  She was always thoughtful of others.  She never forgot my birthday and always sent a funny card that gave me a good laugh.  She and Kay certainly shared the gift of gab.  They talked regularly for so long that Kay's ear would be cherry red.  Always cracked me up.  Jenny had great wit and delivery.  Reunions and Holidays will never be the same, but we'll carry on for her.  I'm thankful that I knew Jenny for 18 years, but am going to forever miss her.  Sing with the angels sis!  I love you.

My family and the Murell family lived across the street from each other and our parents were life long friends, so the Murell ids and the Barden kids grew up together and went to the same schools. Jenny and her twin brother were less than a year younger than me. We played together when our families visited each others homes and attended many milestone life events for each other. Jenny was a nice girl and a good person to know and hang out with during our youth. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace and may the memories of her bring comfort to her family.

Jenny and I have been Sister in laws for many years. Family vacations to Florida were always a hoot with Jenny. Playing cards, cooking together, walks on the beach and using popsicles on our sunburns. After the Family vacations stopped we didn’t end our love for each other,   but sadly our visits were very slim. When we did see each other we just picked up were we left off. Jenny’s Girls and Grandkids were her life. She loved them so much!!!

My sister, my life long partner and best friend.....my heart has been shattered and life has been forever changed with you gone.  Jenny had a big heart, she cared about people and always put others first; she would give you her last dollar or the shirt off her back... and she was like that her whole life.  I remember my father saying once, long after we had left home, how she was a giving person and that as a teenager he would give her some money for something she needed,  but sometimes she would be  back sooner than he expected asking for more money because she gave it to someone else, who she thought needed it more than her.  Family was very important to her and she was so proud of her kids and grandkids.  

Jenny's love language was food.  Before any family get together, she would look for new recipes to cook for us to try something new (or for her to try and us to be her taste testers).  If she had people to cook for, she was a happy girl; give her full run of your kitchen and that was heaven on earth to her.  Both parties were benefactors in those cases:  she could use a kitchen the way she dreamed of being able to (especially if you had "gadgets" she didn't); and you were presented with a meal that was so good.

Jenny was the life of the party and never knew it because she wasn't trying to be, it was just her having a good time and making sure everyone else did....plus her laugh, she did have an infectious laugh.  

Life will not be the same without Jenny, she will be forever in my heart and a part of me.  I find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and free.  Until I see her again....

Being Jenny's "other half" twin brother has given me the blessing to have many memories of her, but I hardly know where to begin. Knowing that she is no longer on this earth and I will not see her at the next family gathering is unbelievable. I will miss her smile, laugh and her good cooking, she was a great cook. When I could not make it to a reunion, Thanksgiving or Christmas gathering she would get mad at the fact that I could not get off work. She wanted her family to be together and she cherished those times.  Growing up it was always me and Jenny and Kay since we were the last 3 of the litter of 7, going on vacation together to see Mother's family up north.  Those were some good times. If the subject came up about who was born first I was quick to say "I was!" and I think one time she came back with "yeah but I'm better looking". Can't argue with that. She had a personality like no other, her smile, laugh and quirkiness. I always sensed that she was protective of me when something would happen or come up. That's how she was, worrying about everybody else, wanting to help you solve your problems or share your burdens.  Jenny no longer has any worries or burdens, I will miss her until I see her again. 

How I wish I had one more talk with you Jenny.    Last spoke April 29, 2019.   The thought of that being our last never crossed my mind.   I'm  truly thankful how  you assisted me once I became part of the garage door business family.   At the beginning you called me one day not to get a price nor find out availability of product, you called just to see how I  was doing.  That is a team player within our work environment.  So Thoughtful, Blessed.    I was overly joyed when you came to church with me not too
long ago.  We prayed and gave thanks.    You my friend will be missed deeply.  

Family members and friends.  I am praying for you all during this difficult time.  What a special lady she was and we all are going to miss her.   May we hold her memories close to our hearts.

Jenny, I’m going to miss you. Your smile, your laugh and your quick sense of humor. Family reunions won’t be the same. I know this is just until we meet again. Love you.

I’m so very sad to hear of Ms. Jenny’s passing.  She was a second mom to me in the 90s during my teenage years. Her daughter Ashley was my BFF so I was always around.  I thought she was hilarious with her quick wit & facial expressions. Even when she was annoyed or upset with us, she made us laugh.  I will always remember her love for what we called “classic rock”. She was always jamming out and I wish I could have attended that Pink Floyd concert with her back in I think 94. When she let me go to the airport when Ashley moved back to GA, she gave me the biggest hug and told me it is not good-bye but see you later.  I Want to do the same for her family now.  You will see her again in paradise and everything she was going through will be forgotten. Praying for the whole family and sending big hugs from Texas. 

I worked with Jenny   a couple different times over 20 year span . I often joked with Jenny that we were like peas and carrots because we understood each other so well  . She was always so generous with her snacks and  kept me in me in diet Mountain Dews for years ..  She also was always  the first one to jump in and  help if their was crisis to work through at work .  When we got to spend time together at work functions it was always a lot of fun to chat with  her about  life and share information about our families.  

Jenny had a great smile and an infectious laugh and that is what I will most of all.  I know Jenny loved all her children and grand kids and my heart goes out to all of you with many prayers for comfort . Jenny was loved by a lot of people , I am one of them . I will miss my friend . 

It is so amazing how one person can touch so many lives.  I started to know Jenny in 2004 when I came to work at Metro.  It was just Derrick, Jenny and I in the office and it was a very small office at the time.  Honestly Jenny taught me everything I came to know about the garage door business.  She was always willing to show me and help me from answering the phone to showing me products.  She was so patient and never showed any sign that I was bugging her :).  She was a great support and co-worker through her 15 years with Metro.  She loved taking care of us, we always had great food and special attention from Jenny.  I came to know her loving family and see her youngest daughter and grandchildren grow up through her loving eyes.  I even came to a family reunion once, you know that is a rare thing these days.  She prepared for days for these times with her family and loved it so much!! I can't believe she is no longer here with us on earth.  Seeing all these wonderful stories and beautiful pictures she had so much to live for.  I am truly sorry for everyone's loss.  I know she is at peace now but she will be greatly missed in so many ways. My heart and Metro's heart is breaking.  Love to you all.

Realizing that you have lost a family member is one of the hardest things about life to come to terms with. It is this moment when you realize that things taken for granted will no longer happen- you no longer get to spend time with them, hear their voice or their laughter, or create new memories with them. Instead, you have to rely on memories, phone calls, text messages, and photographs. Aunt Jenny was always the happy go lucky family member going around the family get togethers telling jokes and providing whatever humor she could in any situation to make sure everyone was in a lively manner, and no one can ever forget Aunt Jenny's laugh! I won't ever forget the family get together that I came to when I was able to take my first leave in the Coast Guard. The first thing she asked me when she saw me was "Sooooo, How many pirates have you arrested?" We laughed so hard for about 5 minutes straight. Aunt Jenny will be sorely missed and I wish for peace on her soul.

The in between of those two significant dates hold so much life. Life that counts, life that is precious, life that matters.  Our family loved her, prayed for her, and now our family hurts for not having her.  She was a strong woman, raising three daughters, and then on to helping with all 6 grandgirls.    From my birth into our family, I was always intrigued by Jenny being a "twin".   What a unique life she was able to live, having a twin brother.  She was fiercely devoted to   family; from her parents (my grandparents) to her children and on to her grandchildren.  Jenny was an excellent cook, always introducing family to new things.  "Jenny's Journey" was filled with a big family, hard work, compassion, loyalty, the love of music, a gift for loving the unlovables, an amazing sense of humor.  Although we have lost her in this life, she has gained eternity in Heaven.  We know without a doubt, that she is that free spirit that she always strived for in this life. Carry on in your unique awesome way with little reminders of your presence in our hearts here on Earth.  

I can’t imagine a world without mama j but here we are. I will miss your crazy personality and silly laugh. How you always took my cousins and I to sonic but only during happy hour, how you mocked me for my chick fil a,  you’re love for kroger, and your love for rock. I miss you lots but I won’t ever forget you. Love you big time.

I have so many amazing memories with my mama j. Many of them are which we are cooking or baking together. My whole life I have had a fascination with cooking just like her. Also, Mama J and I would go to the grocery  every other day just for fun. While there, we would get sodas and fancy candy to share. I’ll always remember her, and the loss of her crazy spirit.  I’m shattered that we won’t share any more memories together, but I look forward to seeing her later on. I will always love you mama J. And so will all us “ G kids “. I miss you

I miss my Grandmommy and I love her so much. I miss her sweet texts with song suggestions, many emojis, and great gifs. She was truly one of a kind and this world will never be the same without her. I can still hear her voice saying all of our names in that silly voice she always did. Her laughter was contagious and there was never a dull moment with my Grandmommy. She always made us grandkids laugh uncontrollably and constantly. I’m so lucky to have gotten the time I did with her. I miss you and I love you Mama J. I can’t wait to see you again one day.❤️

There will forever be a hole in my life withought my Mama J. She was not like regular Grandma’s in any way. She was always the fun grandma who we loved being around. Every summer, I would go back to Georgia with my sisters to visit with family. My mom was always worried about us eating tons of junk food so she would always tell us to eat healthy. One time, Mama J took us to Walmart so we could pick out any dessert we wanted. We ended up choosing cotton candy cupcakes and Mama J thought it was so funny and neat. I’m going to miss recieving random texts from her of songs she wanted to share with us. One of her favorite songs to send us and play in the car was Crank that by Soulja boy. She was truly one of a kind. I love you forever Grandmommy and I miss you more than you know. 

My mom will be greatly missed, she had a kind, care free spirit and loved music like no one I’ve ever seen. She was Mama J to her grandkids who she would randomly text and call her “Crazy G-kids.” She was a devoted daughter to my Mema and Papa when they were in their last years and she was best friends with all her sisters. She loved to cook and was great at it! Thanksgivings won’t be the same without her. We miss you and love you mom, and we will never let you be forgotten. Rest peacefully now and know you are loved and you do matter. 

I miss you so much, I think about you nonstop, I am so happy you’re at peace now but I would have done anything for you, I want nothing more to talk to you, pick on you about something, anything, then hear your voice change because you get on to me for picking on you. You had no idea how much you were loved and valued and that makes me sad. Love you to the moon and back. Watch over us, send us signs and know we love you!
