Rose Marie Bugai

Rose Marie (Donais) Bugai, 72, of Southington, went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 17, 2025. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home with her beloved husband, Dr. Terrence Bugai, by her side.

Born on November 14, 1952, in Norwich, Rose was the daughter of the late Armand Joseph Donais and Georgette Theresa (Brouillette) Garceau. She lived a life of faith, love, devotion to her family, and love of animals.

Rose had a God-given talent for designing and creating crafts and especially decorating for the holidays, she was active in her church and easily made friends wherever she went. Rose loved animals, especially cats, and rescued a number of feral cats for pets.

In addition to her husband Terry, Rose leaves behind her sons, Scott Greczkowski and his wife Eva of Newington, and Todd Greczkowski and his wife Lisa of Pittsburg, PA. She is also survived by her brothers, Edward Garceau of Norwich and Albert Garceau Jr. of Little River, SC; her sisters, Theresa Barrie of Voluntown, Shirley Dyson of Little River, SC, and Jean Sevarino of Broadbrook. Rose’s legacy lives on in her numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, who will cherish her memory always.

A funeral service to celebrate Rose’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Cornerstone Church, 1146 Waterbury Rd., Cheshire at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 25, from 4–7 p.m. at DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose’s memory may be made to Cornerstone Church.
