William J. Pocock

He was born Aug. 27, 1944 in New Britain, the son of the late Edward Sr. and Helen (Yorski) Pocock. He had been employed by North East Utilities for over 30 years as a Project Manager. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Bill is survived by his children, son, Jeffrey Pocock and wife Sara of Newington, daughter, Heather Matthews, son, Craig Pocock and wife Stephanie all of Southington. He also leaves his 6 grandchildren, Marisa, Megan, Ryan, Jeffrey, Brody and Logan, his brother Edward Pocock of Southington and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd. Burial will be with Military Honors at Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 8a.m. -10:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Donations may be made in his memory to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Rd.
