Raymonde Georgine Bergel

Raymonde Georgine Bergel, 67, of Weeki Wachee, Florida, passed away on Monday July 20, 2020. Raymonde was born on March 3, 1953 to Martha and Frank Pijanowski in Haine-St-Paul, Belgium. She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1956, settling in Southington, Connecticut. She graduated from Southington High School in 1972, and attended Briarwood College in Southington, where she studied business administration and accounting. She worked at Connecticut Bank and Trust, Royal Business Machines, and Century Brass between 1975 and 1983. She married Thomas Bergel in 1981. In 1994, they relocated to Florida, where they started their own internet travel agency. Raymonde greatly enjoyed traveling. She travelled throughout the United States and Europe in her youth. Later in life, she took 35 cruises to a variety of destinations. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and creating floral arrangements for all occasions. The love of family was of utmost importance to Raymonde, and she religiously kept in touch with her many friends and family throughout the world. She was a warm, generous woman, and her spirit and determination will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Raymonde was preceded in death by her father, Francois Pijanowski of Auburndale, Florida; and her niece, Kayla Pianowski of Chicago, Illinois. Raymonde is survived by her husband, Thomas Bergel of Weeki Wachee, Florida; her mother, Martha Pijanowski of Auburndale, Florida; her sister-in-law, Jane Pianowski of Chicago, Illinois; her brother, Marc Pianowski of Winter Haven, Florida; her nephew, Kyle Pianowski of Winter Haven, Florida; and her niece, Alexa Pianowski of Winter Haven, Florida.
