My fondest memory of Abraham came when my father and I met Danielle and her dad for dinner at a favorite Springfield restaurant. Danielle and I were blessed to hear the many stories that our fathers shared with each other. They shared about their careers at the Department of Transportation and about the war years.
I often pass that restaurant which is long gone and when I do I smile at remembering that special night and being in the presence of two special men.

Dad,
Thank you for being as good a father as you could. You mellowed a lot in your later years.
I will miss you. I am glad I was able to spend time with you a few days before you passed away. I will never forget you. Happy Father’s Day in heaven.
Love, always, Katy
