On Saturday November 18th Bailey Chance Matthews (22) received an unexpected invitation to his very own “Welcome Home” celebration, themed “Come as You Are.” We all know Bailey’s thrived on spontaneity, and was never one to turn down a party. So without prior notice he embarked on his ultimate adventure, his journey home. Bailey was 22 years young, but lived as fully as any 100 year old man.
Bailey lived each day HIS way. That was his legacy. He attended the school of life, and took full advantage of all the lessons it offered. Bailey wasted no time in making a new friend, never forgot his old ones, and deeply cherished the love of his family. A young entrepreneur Bailey proudly owned and operated his grooming business “Dog Styling and Profiling.” Bailey’s canine clients brought out his gentle, caring nature. The smile of joy on his face as he worked was proof of his passion for his trade. Bailey truly etched a part of his soul in each person (and dog) that was “cool” enough to know him.
Bailey’s biological father Billy Gene Matthews Jr. was part of Bailey’s joyful “Welcome Home” committee. His parents Cody and Dawn Hunter, his siblings Gavin, Addison, and Emerson Hunter, and Brandi and Kayla Matthews along with his grandparents find great comfort in knowing they will one day reunite with their beloved son, brother, and grandson.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the River Pointe Church (Student Building), 5000 Ransom Road, Richmond, Texas 77469.
