Edward Bowers, age 93, of Richmondtown, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at home. He was born December 17, 1927. He attended PS 45 and graduated from McKee High School. Edward served honorably in the US Army as a Private First Class. He worked as Bus Driver for the MTA, from which he had received a safety award. He was a member of St Andrews Episcopal Church. He enjoyed golf, bowling, playing Pinochle, the horse track as well as traveling. He had traveled to Aruba, Hawaii and Las Vegas. Edward is survived by his wife, Dolores of 71 years. He is also survived by his son Robert (Bob) and his wife, Jill; two grandchildren, Kristin and Robert; eight great grandchildren, Hailey, Lilly, Gracy, Emily, Michael, Patrick, Aubrey, and Chloe; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Edward, his brothers Walter and Harry as well as his sister Hilda.

A graveside service for Edward will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Moravian Cemetery, 2205 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.
