Aquilina Acuavera Lim passed away peacefully in Stockton, CA on June 14, 2021. She was 80 years old. Aquilina is survived by her 2 sons, a daughter and 3 beautiful grandchildren. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. Aquilina will join her husband, Rolando and her parents, Tirso and Engracia, in heaven.
Aquilina was born in 1941 in Iba, Zambales, Philippines and after high school she went on to study at a vocational school in Manila before working as a secretary. In 1968, she married Rolando Lim and moved to the United States where on the east coast she continued her career as an accountant at Grafton State Hospital. She and her husband traveled throughout the United States and settled briefly in Hawaii where they began their family. From there they lived in Sasebo, Japan before finally moving to Stockton, California where they would raise their three children together. In her later years, she loved volunteering her time at Clairmont Elementary School.
Aquilina was a devoted wife, mother and daughter. Proud and loving, she was always focused on her children’s education and well being. She had a passion for gardening and music. She will be missed for her warm smile, loving guidance and her masterful cooking. Her love for her family and her faith in God was and will always be unwavering.
** Please join us in honoring the memory of both Aquilina Lim and Rolando Lim on July 23rd at Cherokee Memorial Park. Our parents will be interred together and an honor guard detail will perform a ceremony in their honor. **
