

She was a native of Harrison, Ark., and had been a resident of Sulphur since 1944. Mary Jo enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family, especially laughing and telling stories. She also wasn’t opposed to an occasional off color joke.
Survivors include her three daughters, Mary Lee Roberts Hobbie and husband, Louis of Greenville, N.C., Betsie Roberts Walker and husband, Billy of Iowa, and Barbara Jean Roberts Veillon and husband, Aaron of Lake Charles; one brother, Jay Frank Wilson of Harrison, Ark.,; six grandchildren, Pete Hobbie, Missy Walker Falkiner, Joey Bridget Hobbie Gibson, Russell Walker, Lane Veillon and Wesley Walker; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Jefferson Wilson and Mary Lema Wagley Wilson; her husband, John C. Roberts; and seven siblings.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. David Holder will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
