Morgan Hal Nielsen

On July 13, 2022, Morgan Hal Nielsen passed away at the age of 51. He was born on June 24, 1971, in Salt Lake City, Utah to LaMont and Carma (Pearson) Nielsen. He was the oldest of five children. On November 7, 1997, Morgan married the love of his life Melanie Newman. He was the proud father of Jaron Reed and Alexis Paige.

Family was Morgan’s everything! Taking care of and spending quality time with them was his number one priority in life. Morgan was a Master Wood Craftsman of 41 years, a trait he learned from his father. He was a successful business owner, able to craft anything you could dream of. Morgan loved spending time with his family and friends, especially with his children: hunting and fishing with Jaron, and spending time in the ocean with Paige.

Morgan was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts, an uncle and a cousin. He is survived by his wife Melanie, his two children Jaron and Paige, his siblings: Chantel (Tod) Nielsen, Michele (James) Gardner, Shawn Nielsen and Jonathan Nielsen, and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 @ 11:00 a.m. at the Herriman Stake center cultural hall, 12737 South 6000 West, Herriman, Utah. A luncheon will be held at 13003 South 6400 West, Herriman Utah.
