O'Neal was a mechanic by trade. He worked for several garages but most of his later career was as a fleet mechanic for Unifirst Corp. He loved anything gas or engine. Race cars were his passion and he built race cars as a hobby. He even built one and raced at an amateur race track. He watched as much Nascar as he could. He loved to fish and would take us fishing off the causeways and under the bridges surrounding Merritt Island and Cocoa Beach. He was a plant lover. He had a very green thumb that he had inherited from his mom. He found much joy sitting on his porch surrounded by his plants and flowers.
A visitation for O'Neal will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. O'Neal will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
