

At his request no, funeral services were held for Richard C. Alger, known to most by Rick passed away June 26, 2020 at the age of 76, with his family near. Known for his longtime resident of West Seattle, Rick was the son of the original owner of Spud Fish and Chips, Frank Alger. He and his wife Terrie continued running the business on Alki Beach. Rick most recently has been enjoying his retirement with his wife Terrie, and best friends in Belfair, Washington. Rick loved to go fishing on the river, crabbing, digging clams, playing in his boat, and having fish fry’s with all of his neighbors and friends on the shores of Hood Canal. He was known for his patience, devilish grin, great sense of humor, and his contagious positive spirit. Survived by his wife Terrie, sons Richard, Chris and wife Lisa, daughter Nicky and husband Mike, grandchildren Justin, Jhett, Jace, Michael and Jessica, Cailee, Matthew and great grandchildren Cora and Caladin. The family suggests that those who wish, may make a memorial contribution to the American Heart Association.
