Kent Charles Gipfert was born June 9, 1977 in Ypsilanti, Mi. the youngest child of Charles and Donna Gipfert and passed away September 30, 2019 as his mother was driving him to the hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Gipfert and grandparents, Ray and Virginia Young and Kenneth and Mae Gipfert. He is survived by his daughter Isabelle, His mother Donna Gipfert, sister Kim Gipfert all of Tazewell and brothers Kenneth and Keith (Tressa) of Michigan. He is survived by nieces Amber (Jason) Hayes, Alyssa (Cory) Nickell, Ariel Nickell, Serena (Blake) Pratt and nephews Andrew (Rachel) Nickell and Justin (Kristen) Gipfert, ten great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Kent was confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran church, Ypsilanti, Mi. and loved the Lord. He graduated high school from Ypsilanti High School. He owned his own business, Nice Guys Construction for several years and recently Kent's Lawn Care and worked at Giles Industries. About ten years ago he left Michigan and moved to Tennessee to be near his parents. He quickly fell in love with the country life. He loved to hunt and fish, loved building homes and farming. The real love and focus of his life was his daughter Isabelle who will miss him so much. Seems such a short time he was with us but he enjoyed life and was such a hard worker trying to take care of his parent's farm, work a job and make sure his mother had what she needed. He took good care of everything here at home and kept up with taking care of Isabelle. He was a person who could work on and fix almost anything. He will be greatly missed by all his family. Heaven gained another angel and now he will be with his Dad again who he greatly admired. Go rest high our loved baby boy. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday October 3, 2019 at Coffey Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Thursday night in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. To say I'm heart broken would be an understatement!! Kent was my best friend for as long as I could remember and not having him in my life anymore is gonna be hard.
We had so many great memories growing up together and to pick one thing as a favorite memory would be impossible!
The world has lost a truly great man!!

I love you, Kent! You were like my brother. I grew up living next to you my whole life. Thank you for teaching me how to play basketball (even though I could eventually beat your butt! lol)

My love and thoughts are with all of the family!

RIP Kent
Known you since you were born.
You Grandma is my best friend and I’m sure you are going to be missed by many, but God has his reasons . Probably wanted you up there with Charles to help keep him in line.
Love you
