

He was born on February 26, 1933 in West Burlington, Iowa to Willie and Beulah Alfred. He was one of 6 brothers and sisters. Bob was raise in West Burlington and attended Burlington public schools.
On December 3, 1950 he married the love of his life, Lillian May Dworzack. He proudly joined the US Army in 1953. Bob was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska until 1955. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he went to work for FORD NEW HOLLAND TRACTOR. During his career with FORD he was sent to Belgium to help establish and open a plant there. He was there for 4 years. He retired from the FORD plant in Romeo, MI after 35 years with the company.
When Bob wasn’t working he enjoyed working with wood and building clocks. He loved to say”I did it myself!” He also enjoyed playing Golf.
He was an active member of the Elks Club and the American Legion. His favorite sayings was “I did it my way!!”.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lillian; his children Craig; Michael and his late wife Peggy; Douglas; Kerri Morgan and her husband Robert; Kristi Lawrence and her husband Stephen. He was the proud grandfather to Kellen Duggan , Danielle Weir, Ashley and Robert Lawrence, Ethen and Zoey Leutholtz as well as great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Dakota Weir and Korte and Cavan Duggan.
Other survivors include his sisters Betty Thomas and Marcia Fraise.
Bob is preceded in death not only by his parents, but by his grand daughter, Kimberly Welch and his brothers, Herman; James and sister, Clara Boyle.
A Celebration of his Life is being planned at the American Lutheran Church of Sun City, 17200 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85373 at 10 AM. Military honors will also be rendered at that time for his faithful service to our nation.
