Barbara Jean Martin, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and friend went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Friday, May 25, 2012 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan at the age of 85.
Barbara was born in Terre Haute on February 8, 1927, the daughter of the late Eugene R. and Margaret C. (Ward) Weddle. She was a woman who was kind and loving and genuinely enjoyed helping others. Barbara had a love for dogs, cooking shows and HGTV.
She is survived by her son, Glen Martin of Indianapolis; grandson, Jason and wife Tammy Martin of Lewis and granddaughter, Jamie and husband Brook Lowe of Griffith. Barbara was the loving great grandmother of Tucker, Will and Maggie Martin and Bracen Lowe. She also leaves behind her cousin, Vern Ward.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was welcomed home to heaven by several family members.
In accordance with Barbara’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Roselawn Funeral Home.
