Donald was born on May 3, 1938 in Brodhead, KY and moved to Indianapolis, IN where he was supervisor at AT&T for several years before retiring from AT&T in Columbus, OH.
He is survived by his wife Carol of 38 years, his brothers Charles Ballard of Carlsbad, CA and Kenneth Ballard of Shreveport, LA , his daughter Valorie Taylor, his son David Ballard and his youngest daughter Brandy Jewell along with several grandchildren and one great grandson.
Donald was an avid bowler and loved planting flower gardens. His greatest pleasure was his visits to Master Gardener's Flower Show in Ocala every Spring.
Donald will be laid to rest in Washington Park Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
