Born in New York City, she resided in Hollis and Garden City, Long Island before settling in Berkeley almost 35 years ago.
Prior to retiring, she was a legal secretary for the Franklin National Bank in Long Island, where she worked for 20 years. Valeria was an active volunteer in the Holiday City South community, often organizing bus trips to theaters, Atlantic City, and many other destinations. She also ran a craft class for six years with nearly 100 members. Valeria loved to travel and vacationed on many cruise ships and bus trips with her boyfriend, Alfred.
She was predeceased by her husband Philip in 1987.
Surviving is her boyfriend of 28 years, Alfred "Fred" Palamara.
A visitation and celebration of Valeria's life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 6-9PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River.
A committal service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11AM at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. Entombment will immediately follow.
