

Philip Patrick Trujillo was born in Trinidad, CO on March 17, 1919. He celebrated 94 years with us and is survived by 2 daughters, Sharon Chavez, Paula Barajas and 1 son, Frank Trujillo (Wife-Valerie Trujillo). Also survived by 8 Grandchildren; David Chavez, Tara Chavez, Heather Chavez, Richard Barajas, Danica Barajas, Jennifer Trujillo, Krishelle Trujillo, and Amanda Jo Trujillo, and 11 Great Grandchildren; Christopher Chavez, Damon Chiles, Juwan Brown, Donavon Brown, Jeryn Brown, Aja Chavez, Jereme Flores, Michael Barajas, Diedra Barajas, Lisa Smith, and Pieper Poston. He worked for the Postal Service for 30+ years and passed on Sunday, March 31st, 2013 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by family. He was widowed in 1994 with the passing of his beloved wife, Josephine Trujillo, he was also preceded in death by his brother Bernard Trujillo, sisters; Josephine Trujillo, and Linda Sena, his parents Jose and Mary Trujillo, and a granddaughter Angeline Chavez. He was a loving man, hardworking, had a quick wit, incredibly intelligent and a little stubborn, still driving until he was 93 years old! He cherished each and every one of his grandchildren from the day they were born until he passed. He was the pillar that bonded the family and we are all better people for his time with each of us. He will be greatly missed and we are happy to celebrate his wonderful life that impacted so many! We love you dad, we will miss you gramps and we hope you are smiling down on us today and always!
Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 4pm till 7pm at the Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. A Rosary will be said that evening at 7pm in the Chape of Peace. Prayer service will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 10am in the Pavilion of Peace located on the grounds of Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery. He will be laid to rest at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado following military honors at his resting place.
