I am very sorry for your loss.  She was a wonderful woman and a great mother.

I miss you, Momma.  When I was little, I remember sitting outside Dad's work waiting for him to get off, and you would read the most wonderful books to me and Holly.  Instead of long and tedious, the time seemed magical.  I remember how talented you were.  Where everyone else saw a piece of garbage, you saw some fabulous transformation: an old, trashed shelf from behind the mall became our living room table; plastic soda bottles became lawn twirlies; old spoons and pieces of metal became wind chimes... everything was always deemed to become something beautiful in your eyes.  I remember saving so many, many little animals and nursing them back to health.  I remember how sick you were when you had Mark.  You secretly taught me how to care for his brand-newborn issues, as you knew you would be placed back in the hospital immediately; and you were.  I did as I was taught and he grew up strong.  You seemed so old and wise to me and yet, you were only 19 years older than I.  Your singing voice was beautiful and your laugh was infectous.  In later years, you were my best friend.  I love you, Mom and I miss you every day.

 Barbara will be missed by so many people on Earth, but she is now with our LORD of which she loved with all of her heart.

I am very sadden by the loss of a great Christian woman! Barbara was very dear to my heart and it was a great honor and priviledge to have known her. With each other, we were able to encourage one another, as well as pray together.

I was forunate to have shared some of her last hours with her on this earth. In those precious moments with her, I was able to read scriptures out of the Bible, sing songs of praise to her, rub her back and give her a foot massage, only trying to bring her comfort, but I was rewarded instead by her precious big smile and she told me she loved me, that was who Barbara Andersen was always being thankful, compassionate and loving. At one point her arms were raised in the air as she began to tell me she was saw Jesus, my thought was lucky her! I will miss your Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend, but I will see her one day soon! This is the road (the task & the journey) that Barbara set out many years ago, to serve the Lord and spend eternity with Him!
