Frederick Roman Posch, age 80, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019. Fred was born January 18, 1939 in rural Fall River, Kansas. Fred retired from Lear Jet. After retirement, started a second career as an Assistant Funeral Director with Dignity Memorial, Wichita - Hillside Funeral Home West. Fred married the love of his life, Sylvia in 1973. They were together for 48 years. Together they had 8 children. Survivors include: wife, Sylvia; children, Twila, Renee, Mark, Carl, Vince, David, and Ericka; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Fred is preceded in death by his parents; son, Curtis; and siblings, Donald, Sylvester, Herman, Mike, Vince, John, Barbara, and Irene. Fred never knew a stranger, always had a new corny joke to tell and was always willing to help his neighbor. He will be missed by the many friends and family that he leaves behind. Celebration of Life service will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th Street North, Wichita.
