Ms. Delorese Louise Hendrix, 62, of Woodstock, GA passed away August 2, 2019. Delorese was born on December 26, 1956 in West Palm Beach, FL to the late Hattie Bell Williams and Attice Lee Hendrix. She enjoyed a 36 year career with AT&T and retired from the Executive Appeals Office in 2009. Her passions were helping young people in her church’s youth group, teaching Sunday school for the young adults, singing in the gospel choir, reading, writing for church functions, and hunting for the perfect pair of shoes. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend that always brought a touch of elegance and style to all she did. Delorese will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Yet, in our deepest sorrow, we have comfort in knowing she no longer needs to imagine what it will be like, because she is now surrounded by the Glory of Jesus in heaven. Delorese leaves behind her children, Todd and Tiffany Hendrix; brothers, Kennate Hendrix and his wife, Brenda and Isaac Peter Hendrix and his wife, Cassandra; sisters, Di Annie Hendrix, Dorarine Wright and Dorothy Hendrix; Godmother Annie Mae Burgess and God sisters Rudine and Jacqueline; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Attice Lee Hendrix Jr. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 9th from 6-8pm at Woodstock Funeral Home. A funeral service will be on Saturday, August 10th at 11:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park, Canton, GA.

The joy this family (Hendrix) has brought to our mother is unspeakable. We understand that losing a mother, a sister and a friend is heartbreaking. But let me assure you that there is no better place she can be than with the Lord. I pray that weeping will only endure for the night and that sweet joy will feel your hearts in the morning. The songwriter says: Jesus is Here So when you are feeling lonely and in despair, Jesus is right here waiting to comfort you. When the tears cant seem to stop falling, He is right here to wipe our weary eyes. Just believe, He (Jesus) is here every step of the way.
We send you our Love today, tomorrow and always.

My condolences to you, Todd and Tiffany, in the passing of your Mom. We have not been in touch since the move to Georgia but I have thought of her often. We had some good times at Bell South. I know that she loved you guys very much. Remember all the good times you all shared together. Trust in God and know that He will get you thru this. Your Mom will never be forgotten and know that you will smile again. May God continue to keep you and console you at this time. Remember thru it all that God is still good. We will see her again when we are called to our Heavenly Home.
