Arilldia “Rillie” Ruffcorn

On June 4, 2018, Arilldia “Rillie” Ruffcorn again got to hold the hand of the man she married almost 62 years ago. Arilldia was born on July 21, 1933 to Bun and Lenora Steinman, in Ruskin, Nebraska. Her family moved to Clarkston, WA, where she graduated from Clarkston High School. In 1955 she met Albert Presley Ruffcorn and on their first date they went roller skating. They married on August 4, 1956. They shared a joy of flying model airplanes which they did for many fun-filled hours. On June 28, 1957, their oldest son, Howard, was born. They moved to Yakima, WA, in 1964, and on October 22, 1965 their youngest son Les was born. In 1966 they moved to Terrace Heights where they have lived ever since. Arilldia was laid to rest in the company of her family, next to her husband, on June 8, 2018. She is survived by her sons, Howard (Katie), and Les (Kendal) Ruffcorn; grandchildren, Josh (Tara), Albert (Tiffany), Cody (Heather), John and Alyssa Ruffcorn, and her great grandchildren, Paisley, Audrey, Hadley and Hunter. We will be celebrating her life on her birthday, Saturday July 21, 2018 at the Terrace Heights Civic Center, 4011 Commonwealth Rd., Yakima at 2.00 pm. Come and share ice cream which was her favorite, and a memory.
