Ann Johnson

Ann Johnson (nee DiSanto) of Yonkers died on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at age 87. Born on January 10, 1929 to Leonard and Sara (Denise) DiSanto in Yonkers where she was raised and attended Yonkers Local schools. Mrs. Johnson worked in Sacred Heart High School’s cafeteria for over twenty five years retiring in 2000. On July 7, 1962 she married Horace Johnson in St. Joseph Church, he died in 1994. She also was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Colangelo who died in 1959. Ann was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Finian Seniors. She is survived by four children; Beverly Mayorca, Christina (Kevin) O’Neill, John (Helen) Colangelo and Joseph (Kaye) Colangelo. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Adam, Amber, Brian and Matthew and a great-grandson Emry, and her brother Leonard DiSanto and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Rocco DiSanto, Louise Kushnir, Mildred Nunziaty, Teresa Policaro, Faye McIntyre and Sara DiLiddo. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, January 28th at 9:30 a.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery.
