Chris Perry

Of Pontiac, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2021, at the age of 56. Chris was born in Pontiac on November 17, 1964, to parents James F. and Dora M. (Schmidt) Perry. Chris graduated from Pontiac Northern High School. He worked at Meadowbrook Ice Cream in Rochester Hills doing maintenance on the trucks and selling ice cream for over 25 years. He also assisted in flipping houses, doing part of the construction work. He is survived by his mother Dora Perry; brother David (Gail) Perry; children Talaya, Tasha, Terina, Marzelle and Devonte; 3 grandchildren; 7 nieces and nephews; 8 great nieces and nephews; in-laws Chris Gruenberg, Michelle Perry, and Angie Perry; uncle and aunt Loren and Joyce Schmidt; many cousins; long-time friend Jeff Schneider; good friend Bob Cordell; and former wives Sue Gostola and Lisa Perry. He is preceded in death by his father James F. Perry and siblings Karen Gruenberg, James W. Perry, Thomas Perry, and Marcie Gruenberg. Per his wishes, cremation has been chosen. Family will receive friends for a memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family for final expenses.
