Mary Lee Young Huff, age 78, of Vidor, Texas passed away on Tuesday June 4, 2019. Mary was born July 25, 1940 in Beaumont, Texas to Rosie Hawthorne and Carl W Cady. She resided in Pine Forest, TX for most of her life.
She spent her working years at Texas State Optical, where she was well known and admired.
She was committed in her service and praise to God, and an active member at the First United Methodist Church of Vidor. She was a volunteer with the Christian Care Center and enjoyed helping those in need.
She was a textbook mother, and rarely complained about anything.
Mary Lee was happiest carrying a baby in her arms and felt blessed to have so many in her life. We are honored and privileged to carry her today.
Mary is survived by her son Kenneth Young; sister Carlene Weikel; grandchildren Austin Young, Dustin Young, Samantha Marshall, T.J. Sandman, and Megan Carlin; great grandchildren Skylee, Garrick, Kaitlynn, Skyler and Olivia; and first husband Thomas Young.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Carl W Cady and Rosie Hawthorne; husband Milton Huff; son Steven Young; and sister Lucille Young.
A Sharing of Memories for Mary will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Mary's Life will occur Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with her burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
We will miss her always.
