She was born on November 25, 1941 in Oil City, Pennsylvania to William Gifford and Edith (Fox) Gifford.
She lived in Pennsylvania until 1989 then moved to Virginia to live with her daughter and family until her death.
Sandra enjoyed spending time with her Heavenly Father, reading, crocheting, quilting and playing games on her I-pad.
She is survived by daughters, Sharon Fox Edwards (Keith) and Karen Fox Blair (Dan); two grand-daughters, Sarah Blair James (Chris) and Emily Edwards; and one great-grandson, Braydan James.
She is also survived by two brothers, Terry Sutton (Marie), Edward Gifford (Pat); and five sisters, Dottie Rodgers, Charlotte Sumner, Edith George (Leroy), Bets Sheats (Ron) and Holly Huff (Jerry); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David; William Gifford (brother), Nancy Ritchey (sister), and Bonnie Kreisher (sister).
In light of the corona virus a celebration of life will not be held in Virginia. A private graveside service for the close family will be held in Pennsylvania tentatively set for Saturday, September 5, 2020. Social distancing will be in place and masks will be appreciated.
Memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
