Mr. Ronald Thad Hedrick, age 74, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at WellStar Cobb Hospital. Ronald was born in Lexington, NC on September 11, 1946 to the late Virginia Dorsett and Sandford Matthew Hedrick. Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Avery 'Joyce' Hedrick. He is a 1963 graduate of Lexington Senior High School and enlisted in the Air Force after graduation. He served two terms in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. Mr. Hedrick had many hobbies, he enjoyed being involved with a local hotrod club and taking his 1949 Mercury pickup and his 1965 Chevy for rides. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family. Mr. Hedrick will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ronald is survived by his loving children: son Bryan McGarity (Pam) of Dallas, Georgia; son Darin McGarity of Temple, GA; son Thad Hedrick of Villa Rica, GA; and son Sandy Hedrick of Maydon, North Carolina; granddaughter Brittany Hynes (Nick), grandson Blake McGarity, granddaughter Alyssa McGarity, granddaughter Madison McGarity and granddaughter Macie McGarity; and a host of other special friends and relatives.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 12:00 PM from the Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Chapel. Entombment will occur Thursday, January 21, 2021 after the funeral service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
