Peter was first inspired by the funeral industry at age 9 when he lost his grandfather. Before entering the mortuary field, Peter was an associate producer on the morning edition of News 12 Long Island and a high school English teacher. In 2012, he fulfilled his lifelong ambition and began his mortuary studies at American Academy McAllister Institute, graduating in 2015. Peter became a licensed funeral director in August 2016, beginning his career as a member of our team.
Born in Flushing and raised in Richmond Hill and Deer Park, Peter is a 1996 graduate of St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School in West Islip. He attended Hofstra University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism in 2000 and Master of Science in secondary education English in 2002. Peter’s first book, "Nettie: Tales of a Brooklyn Nana," was published in 2004.
In his free time, Peter enjoys spending time with his family, reading, writing, going to the movies, and conducting genealogical research. Peter currently resides with his wife and daughter in North Babylon, New York.
Jennifer Ann Gagliano
Jennifer Gagliano has been a licensed funeral director at our funeral home since 2012. Prior to her time in funeral service, she worked in the medical field. She holds a degree from the mortuary science program at Nassau Community College, is a New York State Notary Public and an avid animal lover. After the sudden passing of her younger brother and best friend, Jennifer realized how much of an impact her work makes on the families she serves. Her dogs are registered emotional support dogs and join her in serving families throughout the grieving process, as well as veterans who suffer from PTSD. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
A Long Island native, Jade Martin initially pursued a career in psychology to help individuals heal and persevere through life obstacles. During that time, she recognized the sensitivity surrounding those experiencing the loss of a loved one, and ultimately changed her path, becoming a funeral director. Jade aims to guide and comfort families throughout the process, acknowledging that grief takes on many shapes and forms.
