At Zarro Funeral Home, we work with you to help create unique, memorable tributes for your loved one. We believe that each service should reflect the special qualities of the loved one you are honoring. Personalized services can include distinctive music, displays of photographs and memorabilia, military honors and unique processionals.
All of our services at Zarro Funeral Home are designed to help you through one of the most personal and challenging stages of life. We understand losing a loved one is an emotional and difficult experience, and we are committed to helping you with compassionate, professional and personal service.
We Honor Veterans
Zarro Funeral Home understands the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level Four Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, we are honored to serve our nation’s heroes and take this responsibility seriously. We have taken steps to ensure our staff is knowledgeable of all the benefits available to military veterans and their families.
In addition, we host community events annually in honor of our veterans and work closely with local veterans organizations. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran’s memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.
Trusted funeral home
We're a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral and cremation service providers. When you choose Zarro Funeral Home, you not only receive the compassionate care you expect from a locally operated establishment but also the value you deserve from the largest and most trusted network of funeral, cremation and memorialization providers.
Dedicated to the community
Many of our associates were born and raised in Bloomfield and the surrounding area, and are dedicated to the Bloomfield, Silver Lake and Belleville community. We consider our involvement in numerous local organizations, school functions and religious facilities as our choice—not our obligation—because we love being part of the community.
Zarro Funeral Home opened on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark, New Jersey, in 1905. The facility moved to its current location on Harrison Street in Bloomfield in the late 1920s.
Although the location of Zarro Funeral Home has changed over the years, our staff remains committed to upholding professional standards and continues to be dedicated to the Bloomfield and surrounding Essex County community.
Today, we are a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral and cremation service providers.
