Located in Bloomington, Indiana, Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene and Harrell Chapel has provided burial and cremation services for more than 70 years.
In 1946, Orville Greene and Bob Harrell, a former funeral director of Allen Funeral Home decided to start their own funeral home, which they named Greene and Harrell Funeral Home. The original funeral home was located at Kirkwood and Lincoln. Funeral directors Don Frye and Ron Deremiah later joined Orville and Bob in 1970.
In 1973, Orville, Greene and Harrell sold the funeral home to Don Frye and Ron Deremiah, who changed the name to Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene and Harrell Chapel. Seeking a new location in 1975, Frye and Deremiah moved the funeral home to where it is today at 700 Gourley Pike in Bloomington.
