After living in Lake Worth, Florida, for 12 years, Helen Babione moved to Boca Raton in 1960 where she and her husband Robert opened Babione Funeral Home. Desiring to serve, she quickly became active with the communities in and around Boca Raton.
Helen is a half-century member of the Women’s Club, past president and board member of Soroptimist Club, a life member of the Debbie Rand Memorial Service League and a member of the Caridad Center. Full of compassion, she is a founding member of both Horses and the Handicapped and the Society for the Disabled. She has also co-chaired the Go Pink Luncheon for Boca Raton Regional Hospital for many years.
Paul Lawrence Moss
Since the late 1990s, Paul has provided comfort to families in Palm Beach County. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, Paul came to Boca Raton to attend Lynn University, where he earned a mortuary science degree. After working many years in the West Palm Beach area, Paul became a location manager with the Dignity Memorial network. This allowed him to be closer to his wife and 2 boys. When he is not working, Paul finds time to be involved in his son’s sporting activities and the Boy Scouts.
Joe Veccia and his late wife, Mary Babione, became licensed funeral directors in 1987. Following the 1988 retirement of Robert Babione, Joe and Mary purchased what is known today as Babione – Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center in east Boca Raton and, a few years later, opened a second location on the west side of the city.
Joe remains very active in the community serving on the board of trustees for the George Snow Scholarship Fund, St. John Paul Academy and Boca Raton Regional Hospital as well as on the board of overseers for Lynn University and the board of directors for the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. Joe holds an Associate of Science degree in mortuary science from Lynn University.
Thomas J Wojciechowski
Thomas Wojciechowski has been in the funeral industry since the late 1980s. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he earned a bachelor's degree from St. John’s University and then a mortuary science degree from American Academy McAllister Institute. He is a licensed funeral director in both New York and Florida. Thomas is involved with Knights of Columbus, a member of West Boca Chamber of Commerce and sits on a community association board.
