Collierville Funeral Home founding
Founded in 1931, our building was originally located on the historic town square, specifically in the Hinton-Hutton building. The funeral home was later moved to a house on Main Street, not far from the square. Then, in 1974 we relocated to our current location on West Poplar Avenue.
T. Carl Rutledge
T. Carl Rutledge began work with the funeral home in 1959. Known for his caring personality, he worked with generations of families and conducted funerals for more than 50 years. T. Carl retired in 2010 as the president of Collierville Funeral Home. His life was intricately woven into the fabric of our town. His profound impact and legacy will never be forgotten. To this day, the foundation of our business is "caring,” a trait which is synonymous with T. Carl Rutledge. We even named our chapel to honor his memory and the way he touched so many lives.
In-House Crematory and Florist
Memphis Funeral Home is proud to operate our own in-house crematory, staffed with caring employees, ensuring that your loved one will never leave our care until they are safely returned to you following cremation. Our in-house florist receives fresh flower deliveries daily, ensuring your floral needs are met and your expectations are exceeded.

We understand losing a loved one is an emotional and difficult experience. That’s why we, at Collierville Funeral Home, uphold the commitment to help you navigate the funeral decision-making process with compassionate, professional and personal service.
